The short version: we collect what we need to text back your missed callers, run your inbox and bill you. We don't sell personal information, and we never share phone numbers or texting consent with anyone for their marketing. You can delete your account at any time.
Who we are
BackIn60 (“BackIn60,” “we,” “us”) is a missed-call text-back service for businesses, offered through this website, a web dashboard and a mobile app. BackIn60 is operated by Christeven Donegan, a sole proprietor based in Staten Island, New York. This policy covers two groups of people:
- Customers: businesses and their staff who sign up for and use BackIn60.
- Callers: people who call or text a business that uses BackIn60.
For callers, the business you contacted decides how it uses the conversation, and BackIn60 handles your information on that business's behalf to deliver the service.
What we collect
From customers
- Account details: your name, email address, business name, business phone number, business hours, booking link and the text templates you write.
- Sign-up and support messages: what you enter in our free-trial form (name, business, type of business, phone, email and your note) and anything you email us.
- Billing details: subscription status and billing history. Card payments are handled by our payment processor; we don't receive or store your full card number.
- Device and usage details: app version, device type, a push-notification token if you allow notifications, sign-in times, and basic logs we use to keep the service working.
From callers, on behalf of our customers
- Call logs: the calling phone number, the time and length of the call, whether it was answered, and the business it was for. Caller ID name if the carrier provides it.
- Voicemail: a recording, if the business has voicemail turned on and the caller leaves one.
- Text messages: the content of texts sent and received through the business's BackIn60 number, with their times and delivery status.
- Opt-out records: when a number replied STOP or another opt-out word, so it is never texted again.
From visitors to this website
Basic technical information a web server receives, such as IP address, browser type and the page requested, and the approximate country of a trial sign-up. We don't use advertising trackers on this site.
How we use it
- To provide BackIn60: detect missed calls, send the automatic text, deliver replies to the right inbox and send notifications.
- To enforce texting rules: one automatic text per caller per 24 hours, quiet hours, and honoring STOP and HELP.
- To set up and support your account, including carrier registration of your business for texting.
- To bill you and manage your subscription.
- To show your stats, fix problems, prevent abuse and keep the service secure.
- To meet legal obligations.
We don't sell personal information, and we don't use callers' information to market to them or to anyone else.
Text messages and phone numbers
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties. The categories of sharing below exclude text messaging opt-in data and consent.
Callers can reply STOP (or QUIT, END, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE, REVOKE or OPT OUT) at any time to stop texts from that business, and HELP for help. Msg & data rates may apply. See our SMS Terms.
Who we share it with
We share personal information only as needed to run BackIn60:
- The business you contacted. If you call or text a BackIn60 customer, that business sees your number, call log, voicemail and messages in its inbox.
- Service providers who work for us under contract: SMS carrier partners that carry calls and texts, our payment processor, and hosting, database and notification services. They may use the information only to provide their services to us.
- Carrier registration. U.S. carriers require businesses that send texts to register. We submit customers' business details (such as legal name, tax ID, address and a contact) for that registration.
- Legal reasons. If the law requires it, or to protect the rights, safety or property of BackIn60, our customers or others.
- Business transfers. If BackIn60 is sold or merged, information may transfer to the new owner under this policy.
How long we keep it
- Account details, call logs, voicemails and messages: while your account is active. After an account is deleted, we delete them within 30 days.
- Opt-out records: kept as long as needed to keep honoring the opt-out, because deleting them would let a number be texted again.
- Billing records: as long as tax and accounting law requires.
- Trial sign-ups that don't become customers: up to 12 months, or sooner if you ask.
- Backups roll off on a schedule, usually within 30 more days.
Deleting your account
Customers can delete their account in the app (Settings → Delete account) or by emailing christeven@mail.tab.bot from the account's email address. Deleting your account cancels your subscription at the end of the paid period, releases your BackIn60 number, and deletes your account details, templates, call logs, voicemails and messages within 30 days, except what we must keep by law (such as billing records) and opt-out records.
Callers who want their messages with a business deleted can ask that business, or email us and we'll pass the request along and help.
Your choices and rights
- See, correct or delete your information: email us.
- Stop texts from a business: reply STOP.
- Turn off push notifications in your phone's settings.
Depending on where you live (for example, California), you may have extra rights to know, access, correct or delete personal information and not to be discriminated against for using them. We don't sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. To make a request, email us; we'll verify it and reply within the time the law requires.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit, access is limited to people who need it, and sign-in uses one-time email codes. No system is perfectly secure, so please tell us right away if you think your account has been compromised.
Health information
BackIn60 is meant for scheduling messages only. It isn't designed to receive or store medical records or health information. Customers in health care should use scheduling-only templates and ask patients not to text health details, and callers shouldn't send health information by text.
Children
BackIn60 is a service for businesses and isn't directed to children under 13. We don't knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we'll delete it.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date above, and for significant changes we'll notify customers by email or in the app before they take effect.
